Text: Zeph. 3:17.
The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Your life must be in accordance with the will of God in order to secure his help. Your true allegiance and loyalty must not be to the flesh but to the Lord. There are several biblical personalities that were so strong and undefeatable by the nations because of the power and strength of the Lord in their lives.
God charged us to be endued with his power, the Comforter, the respresentative of the person of the Lord in the church so that ours can be a victorious life even in the face of battle.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
You cannot be victorious because your father is a pastor or your mother is an evangelist of the gospel. You can be victorious if you carry what cannot be defeated by the devil, and that is Spirit of the Lord.
The three Hebrew men exhibited this when the most powerful king on earth a that time, His Royal Majesty, King Nebuchadnezzar commanded them to bow to a graven image, and they refused, never minding the consequences of their action.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Nebuchadnezzar, the king was so angry because these men displayed their true identity and stood not with the multitude, disregarding his order.
The king therefore commanded that the fire should be more intense and that these men should be thrown into it. Saints are not ordinary people, they have been made EXTRAordinary through the power of God in their live.
Your word defines you.
These three men were not Babylonian by birth, they were there through captivity and were given the rare priviledge of serving in public offices of the nation through a selection process was carefully conducted by the officers of the king, endorsed by the king himself. These and many others were the reasons why they must be obedient to the will of the king. Despite that, they never denied the Lord in the face of this terrible battle of life.
Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for who you are in my life and family.
2. Oh Lord my Father, endowed me with the grace to reject whatever you deny in my life, family and ministry.
3. Thank you for answered prayer oh Lord.
