Bible Reading: Gen. 21:1-6
Text: Gen. 11:30
But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
The best place you can ever be is in total submission to the will of God. Even after you have prayed, sometimes you need to wait.
In life, there is that which we need and there is that which we want. Some needs are important and some are both important and urgent. Often, there are more pressing needs in our lives than we are aware of. And that is why the One Who Knows our true need says We know not how we ought to pray or for what we ought to make request.
However, notwithstanding our ignorance, God assures us that the Holy Spirit prays for us according to the will of the Father for our lives.
Therefore, if you have prayed and are not seeing heaven moving in the direction of your prayers, you do not have to lose heart. Perhaps the focus of your prayers are not the focus of heaven for you at the moment.
So, instead of quitting, you may need to ask for Him to open your eyes so that you can see what He is doing about your case.
Sarah and her husband have been praying for this singular and critical subject of life. To them and the people that surrounded them, that is what they really needed but to God, what they needed was more than being parents to their own child.
Abraham wanted to just have a child, God was preparing him to be a father to nations. There was no way his limited vision could capture that.
What God is doing in your life is much more than your request. Your prayer request sometimes is not what you need and it is not that you are not heard or wouldn’t be answered.
Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for what you are doing in my life without asking you.
2. Oh Lord My Father, help me to be able to wait for your full manifestation in my life.
3. Thank you Lord for answered prayers.
