Dangers of Disobedience, Pt.2

Dangers of Disobedience, Pt.2

Bible Reading: 2Sam. 24:1-14

Text: 2Sam. 24:10

Scripture:

And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

Message:

Disobedience strips you of God’s covering and glory. It exposes you, so that the enemy can have his way in your life. It puts you in the same class with the devil and places on you the wrath of the Holy God. And no man can withstand that, because to attract the wrath of God means everything that belongs to Him will now work against you (that means there is no hiding place for the disobedient).

It is very important to know that living according to the instructions of the Lord is the only way to life. It is the only thing that has the capability to shield you from all the activities of the evil one. That is why you must be very sure you are in right standing with the Lord your God per time.

David’s act of disorderliness against the will of God in the land of Israel caused lost of lives, it crippled increase and hindered the presence of the Lord in the land. Just because of a single act of disorderliness.

It is always like that: disobedience always ‘seems cool’ and harmless but it’s effect is both destructive and eternal.

Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for your grace and privilege of caution and instructions over my life.

2. Oh Lord My God, create in me a new heart to suit your will and instructions for my life.

3. Thank you for answered prayers oh Lord.
