Bible Reading: Gen. 7:1-6
Text: Gen. 7:1
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
When the chips are down, it all boils down to whether God is pleased with us or not. We can earn the commendations of men who matter in society, if God does not find us pleasing, we are doomed.
There are so many lessons to draw from the life of Noah. One of them is that he was a man of focus.
Noah took on the assignment of building an ark when in his life he hadn’t even seen a boat. That’s not all, this ark was not going to be designed for sailing on the sea. It was to be carried by a flood.
That in itself was not only strange but also impossible. First, up till now flood was unknown to man.
Contrary to common sense, Noah remained focused on his destiny even though he did not know what it was going to look like in the end. He was diligent to follow line upon line, precept upon precept, the planning of the project as it was revealed to his heart by God.
We can only imagine what the rest of the world was thought of him, but to Noah, that was not important. No wonder God made bold to say Noah was the only one in his generation whom God found to be righteous.
This must be our attitude as well: to be focused and detailed as when it comes to executing heavenly assignment.
Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for the grace of salvation over my life.
2. Oh Lord God, help me to be totally focused on you and your principles.
3. Thank you for answered prayers oh Lord.
