Christian in Political Office, Pt.1

Christian in Political Office, Pt.1

Bible Reading: Dan.6:1-4

Text: Dan.6:3

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Not everybody will be graced to serve in the office of a priest, as church counsellors, social workers, etc.

You are expected to exhibit the manifold wisdom and power of God in your life in whatever office you are ordained to serve God in the life of people.
It is a lie of the devil that christians cannot serve in political office. If Daniel could serve as served so well, then it is not wrong for christians to be in politics.

Babylon at that time was the ruling nation on the earth and had the power and authority to sanction and take over  government in nations that would not submit to it.

Daniel became a captive in Babylon because his own nation fell out of favour with the king. But he was privileged to serve in political capacity along with other  appointees of the king and he proved to be the best of them all, because he was guarded by the spirit and wisdom of God.

Every citizen that was under his jurisdiction enjoyed his faithful service because of his godliness, sincerity and outstanding creativity through the power of God in his life.

Corrupt businesses and acts were brought to his office but he rejected them all. He determined to feed the hungry, stand for justice and build ruined places without cutting any percentage for himself.

Some pastors and ministries are singing that christians should not interfere in political affairs of the nation. But if scriptures say ‘government shall be on His shoulders’, are the shoulders not in the body? Is the church not the body of Christ on the earth?

As the Lord has divided to everyone, you are only ordained by the Lord to serve in his creative plan and place for your life which can be in any office on the earth through which his manifestation and fulfilment are guaranteed.

Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for grace and privilege to do your will in my graced capacity.

2. Oh Lord God, guide the heart of the just and protect your interest over their lives to serve and lead the nations right.

3. Thank you for answered prayers oh Lord.
