Bible Reading: Mark 8:34-38
Text: Mark 8:34
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Being raised in a christian family background does not make you one, even being one of the most announced workers in the church has not endorsed you as His.
There are people in the pulpit today because it is their chosen career. They are not necessarily christian neither were they called by God, pastoring is just something they fancied.
Little wonder there are great cathedrals headed by bishops whose sermons do not agree with their lifestyle, and it is not a secret to several people in the society.
Not all that are in the church are christian, mostly in this generation, because if everybody in the church today truly practised what they are taught from the pulpit per time, the world would have been a better place.
A true christian follows the true conduct of the Lord every minute of his daily life.
Christians are society reformers, a set of people that will go the extra mile to bring peace and tranquility to the society starting from their respective life.
A true christian is an agent of change and transformation in society. He brings new and better innovation to make the world a better place for all.
Christ gave us the picture of who his true followers are.
Paul was no longer the same after he had an encounter with the Lord on his way to Damascus. He was a true, sincere and dependable servant of the Lord. He lived by the word of God and everybody in the society witnessed this.
He was a model of acceptable behaviour in the church and the society at large.
Christians are Christ personified.
Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you oh Lord for saving me.
2. Oh Lord God, turn all my weaknesses to strength to the glory of your name.
3. Thank you for answered prayers oh lord.
