Bible Reading: Gen.41:30-39
Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
Every member of the global family has some contributions to make for the well-being of all.
The church and every member of the body of Christ has what must be done for their impact to be felt in building the nation.
Even a pastor’s responsibility in this is more than praying. Priests in biblical history were not only fit spiritually, the government of the day relied on their contributions for the growth of the nation’s economy and for them to know what to invest in for the benefit of all and to the glory of God.
Our impact as Christians anywhere must be felt positively because that is one way of evangelising our environment.
God expects you not to fold your hands or shut your mouth when an issue arises in the community and you have the solutions.
You are not sent to your family and church alone.
Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and profiled a strategy that helped to avert an impending social and economic crisis of global implications.
The light of the change got the attention of neighbouring nations and that brought fame and recognition because Egypt preserved his people and was also able to sustain other nations. This wouldn’t have happened if Joseph did not tell the king, by the spirit of God, what needed to be done.
Let Us Pray.
1. Thank you for the state of the nation of Nigeria
2. Oh Lord God, help me to discover my strength and contribute to the development of my community and affect the nation positively.
3. Thank you for answered prayers oh Lord.
