Dangers of Being Loose, Pt.1

Bible Reading: Judges 16:5-12

Text: Judges 16:12

Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

Talking too much is a very bad habit for you as a Christian, it is one way to open your life and home to the enemy.

You must be very careful of what you are saying par time and be careful who you are opening the doors of your life and family to through your words.

Who is asking you about your children before you begin to reveal where they are, the opportunity they just got, the one that newly secured an appointment, etc. You are just being given a visa of two year to visit your last daughter to help her care for the new born baby in United Kingdom and you go on air with the news.

You are the enemy of yourself.

As if under a spell, you open the door of your own life to the adversary.
Choosing to be quiet does not mean you are foolish, as a matter of fact, it is when you run your mouth like a loose tap that you display folly.

This is one of the flaws that led to the fall of Samson. Delilah had understudied and discovered he was loose, most especially when he is around women.

If you are a person that cannot keep your secret within the four walls of your house, you are simply allowing the adversary to come into your life through you being careless about your attitude to words and irrelevant discussions.

Samson could not recover from the consequences of the things that came out of his mouth.

Similarly, if you are a person that wants to impress people about what you have acquired or gotten, you are not impressing anybody but opening the doors of your life to a battle, and most times you are the strength of the enemy.

What was destroyed in the life of Samson could not be amended and he could not fulfill destiny. This is also applicable to everyone who will want to walk in dominion in life.

Don’t open your door to the enemy.

Let Us Pray.

1. Thank you oh Lord for your grace over my life.

2. Oh Lord God, restore every virtue that I have lost by my own words.

3. Thank you for answered prayers oh Lord.
